I was kinda hoping to enhance it. I understand through tuft testing
others have done that separation of the laminar foil begins @
approximately 30 to 35% back on the chord and that placement there could
be a great improvement in the low speed range. More interestingly the
manufacturer (of the VG's) feels the most help would be in the placement
of the VG's on the lower horizontal just forward of the elevator keeping
my small tail alive longer. I have no clue as I'm just a driver looking
for all the input I can get before deciding. The one person I have
talked to that has them, loves em, but he bought the a/c with them and
has no "before" experience. I don't want to slow her down but if the low
speed qualities could be noticeably improved on I might be willing to
sacrifice a knot or three. On occasion she still gets my blood racing in
the landing phase. I agree though, sure is a pretty wing to be gluing
blemishes to.
