My understanding is that we are required to have a POH... and
even if we are not.. its a darn good idea..
Maybe I've been slack,
but I've never had a formal POH for any of the 3 planes I've built.
Most kit makers have a section in the builders manual that gives general
info. I do have checklists (because my memory is but a memory), and
operating limits on my kneeboard, and the aircraft log book has the official
tested safe speeds. That's all I've ever done.
