Charles, John, and Bill: Thanks for your feedback on the "Nylaflow for Pitot
tube?" thread.

Together you inspired another questions: The manual has us build a mount for
the pitot tube out of eglass.  I've remove so many layups with a heat gun
that, when the pitot tube heater is on, I'm afraid that it will compromise
the integrity of the resin.  If I forget to turn it off after an IMC decent
and taxi around with it on, will it basically fall of the plane????  (I'd
hate to litter the taxiway)

I haven't heard of this being a problem but I am a bit concerned!  Should I
be thinking of mounting the pitot tube with a metal flange on a 8"x8" metal
plate to dissipate some of the heat or are my concerns unwarranted?
