Joe,
I ordered four feet of one inch square lead rod from Industrial Lead in L.A.
I sawed off a thin wedge from one side ( 7 tooth hardwood blade on my
bandsaw) and further trimmed to fit for full aileron travel.  I counter sunk
my 8/32 NAS screw holes and Hysoled the whole mess down to the leading edge
flange.  No bid used.  The screw threads and a bit of the missle nuts had to
be ground off for travel.  It looks great and should be super strong.  I
wonder how close this is to the new part # 1110?
Also, Rob, I would test a Vernatherm on a hotplate in turbine engine oil
with a good candy thermometer.  It works!
