I was just down to Ly-Con to witness my rebuilt O-340 run in and pick it
up. I was very impressed with the care and emphasis on details Ken and
Steve place on each engine. We spent all day on the dyno changing
carburators and adjusting jets to get the best combination for my engine
(the stock carb won't fit in the cowl). They showed me a couple of brand
new O-360 engines that had just arrived in from Van's Aircraft that the
owners were having converted to IO engines. It seems they can convert a
carburated engine and cleanup the ports (5 Hp/cyl) for less than the
additional cost of buying a new IO engine.
