While the voltage was down from the 4 starts and low rpm ground runs, it was still north of 24v.  I did not have my cross-tie engaged, and should of, to start.  Trying to get in the new habit of doing that.

 

I'm going to check the rest of my relays for correct type. Hersee 24144 (24v) is what I welded shut, and it is a continuous duty relay.  24008 is the correct part # for intermittent.

This happened to me, you can weld the solenoid  if let the battery get too low. Sounds like this is what you did. The problem is not the solenoid but low voltage.
