The Wi-Fi only models of the iPad or
iPad mini do not have GPS capability. You could get an external GPS
receiver that uses Bluetooth to talk to the iPad, but a 3g or 4G model
eliminates that requirement. I use a 3G mini in my ES and it works
great.
