   The Wi-Fi only models of = the iPad or=20 iPad mini do not have GPS capability.  You could get an external = GPS=20 receiver that uses Bluetooth to talk to the iPad, but a 3g or 4G model=20 eliminates that requirement.  I use a 3G mini in my ES and it works = great.
