There was a time when I was looking for
a 2 blade CS for my T-18 Thorp with a 180 Hp Lyc. The Rep at Western
Prop,
Troutdale, OR tried to sell me a cut down Prop from a
Mooney. The specs on that particular prop were under
tolerance,
according to Hartzell, and could very possibly have
harmonics problems. Western Prop that it did NOT have to meet min
specs
because of my Experimental application.
I had a similar experience
with a prop broker from Missouri, Trev Zander. Buyer
beware
If you are buying a used prop,
have it shipped to a neutral shop for inspection, along with the
logs. Money well spent.. my 2 cents
