If you are landing at a major airport like Detroit Metro you'll often
encounter approach asking you to maintain max speed for as long as possible.
Do so, and on short final pop the speed brakes and reduce power. You'll land
just fine and the controllers will remember that Lancairs fit into the flow
better than your average Cherokee. Worked fine on the Mooney I used to fly.
