 Another method is to get some 1/16" styrene sheet, cut thin strips, wax the
 strips, place in the gap space & micro around this with the panel in place.
 You can then body work the entire surface as one piece since the styrene
 sands away right along with the micro.  I bought a 4' x 8' sheet of styrene
 from Regal Plastics here in OKC  for about $21.00.  Works great.  I have so
 far used this method for the gear doors, the rear access panel, and the Step
