ELT - under glass portion of turtle deck
TRANSPONDER - external antenna on belly (with ground plane)
GS1 - external strip antenna at left wing root
GS2 - external strip antenna at right wing root
COM1 - belly whip (with ground plane)
COM2 - belly whip (with ground plane)
  NAV1 - vertical stab
  NAV2 - ?
GPS & satellite radio antennas - under the glass portion of the turtle deck.

Barry, I have attached a PDF sketch of my external belly antennas (similar to your plan). >>>

Craig,

I think I was confused about the GS antenna.  That should be a Marker Beacon in the wing root and one should be enough.  I guess the NAV antenna(s) should serve for the GS.

Your diagram is very helpful.  Are you planning on using the ground plane paint for all the antennas?  And pardon the ignorance, but is the paint external or internal?  I had the impression that on carbon fiber an internal metallic foil disk or "X" was acceptable.  Brent Regan had a post about COM antennas - 8/23/2003 1:12 PM. - and specified an exact length for each of the arms of the "X,"  22 inches from center to tip.

What type and where will your ELT and NAV antenna(s) go?

Thanks,
