Scott, my point which obviously was not clear enough (in a previous
post) is that an O & P session by the DAR with the kit purchaser (upon
completion) could clearly and demonstrably indicate the level of
education obtained. I would like to think that the enjoyment factor
after Carl's team investment in both substantial time and significant
money would be in the affirmative... thereby meeting the Spirit and
Intent of the AC.
Now as to this kit, failing to meet or crossing some bureaucratic line
in Seattle's MIDO play box sand... I think political influence or sheer
patience for positive movement may be a painful result.
So it may well prove that the Certified Turbojet Manufacturers
referenced fear about this 5+ seat kit, is the principal reason that the
sky is about to fall.
One set of rules, one standard with equitable application to all, would
be a fine place to start.
I am personally impressed with an effort to take all those P&W
powerplants from the graveyard of aviation progress and place them back
into good use flying the friendly skies.
