I had a Mooney with an IO360 and had the same oil leak problem.
Found it by thoroughly cleaning the engine, reinstall the cowlings, run up at as near full throttle as is safe for about 10 minutes.
Remove the cowling and use an air hose to dust the entire engine with either corn starch or talcum powder. Then use the air hose to blow off the powder. The powder will not blow off at the leak area. Mine was a case thru bolt. Removed the nut, cleaned with acetone and retorked the nut with a dab of permaseal under it. NO LEAK.
