Mike,
Have been using a Polyurethane tbg Spruce P/N 0585-071 for about 8 years as fuel transfer and sight gauges, with no problems.  Replaced the entire system at 5 years just to see if it hardened, lost flexibility, lost transparency or had chafed any going thru bulkheads etc.  None of the above happened, although I do wrap the tubing with electrical tape at points that could chafe and use hose clamps  slightly tightened just upstream of a small AL Tbg upset coming off the day tank, wing tanks etc.    I would guess that it's the same stuff that Vern furnishes only clear. I know some of the troops thow up on the stuff, but the alternative..think about it,AL Tbg, vibration, work hardening, and....  Don Skeele  N320J 235/320>
I've been using the yellow fuel line for my sight gauge for the past 2 years of flying. It works, but it's a little hard to see the fuel level. Can anyone recommend a different fuel line that is more transparent and stays soft like the yellow stuff? Thanks.
