Ridge,
I have Specialty (McCready) AirTrac on the Lancair and Goodyear Flight Custom III on the Tiger. Both are good tires but the Goodyear is probablly better, 3 times the price. The Lancair tires have about 60 hours on them and show very little wear. That is probably due to the 10,000' runway at the home field.
One thing to consider, I had a lot of trouble with the original brakes, that and the first 50 hours took a lot out of the tires. If you thing the brakes are maybe part of the tire wear problem consider Switching to Grove wheels and brakes. There are lots of posts about them.

I would appreciate recommendations on what kind of and where to get good
replacement tires for my outback mains. The ones that came with the kit have
seen a bunch of landings the crafts first 50 hours, and must replace them
Thanks
