David -

Since I flew many hours with the aileron (roll) trim on the left-right sectors of the coolie hat, I would prefer to do it this way and put the yaw trim on the panel. I'd put the AP disconnect switch on the lowest and the PTT on the trigger. Put the rest on your panel near their own boxes/screens. DO NOT HEED Infinity's enthusiasm and their advice to add something for every darned switch position on the grip. Flaps, start, boost pump, lights, et al. just beg for complexity, are not standard and are downright hazardous, IMHO.

Cheers,

John

howdy all-

i know this topic has been discussed previously but it is time to decide on what controls to put on my infinity grips for my ivp propjet(cfs panel). lancair avionics has suggested elevator/rudder trim controls on the large chinese cap type control with aileron trim and efis mute on either side of it; obviously the push to talk on the pistol control and autopilot disconnect &cws on the slanted ledge button and ident on the lowest button. i hope this is reasonably clear.

does this sound reasonable or would anyone strongly suggest a different layout or other more important items on the controls?
