It may be possible for you to install a float switch on your header tank,
even though it is in the plane.  Empty the tank and carefully cut a hole in
the upper back side of the tank and install a float switch.  If you are very
careful you can minimize or eliminate any fiberglass material from entering
the tank. You can then use that switch for an automatic shutoff.
