Wrong!

In the late 1970's, an airliner flying out of Seattle had a similar encounter.  The eagle dropped the fish, which impacted the airliner just above the windscreen.  The pilot, obviously an outdoor enthusiast, reported that the fish in question was a King Salmon....

I remember this since I was in graduate school at the time, and my pilot buddies all thought that the identification of the fish as a King Salmon (as opposed to the 17 bazillion other kinds) was ludicrous.  This would have made it sometime between October 1978 and May 1979.
