Tracy and all,
I have an auto stock fuel pressure
regulator which has seemed to funtion properly, but I am not satisfied with
performance, i.e., inconsistent and proper mixture control.
1. Would a MAP compensated fuel pressure
regulator be a benefit?
2. Depends on the answers I
get...:-)

There are too many possible reasons for
inconsistent mixture to say that the reason is an uncompensated fuel
pressure regulator but the system was designed with this type in
mind.
But what do you mean by "auto stock"
? The stock Mazda regulator is manifold pressure compensated. Is
yours a three port regulator with a connection to the manifold?
