I thought about putting it back together now - I made drawings and labels to make it easy...

Still weighing the pros/cons of rebuilding or have a pro do it. On Aug 12, 2013, at 11:20 AM, Bill Bradburry <bbradburry@bellsouth.net> wrote:

If you have the same kind of memory that I have, you should do the rebuild
then pickle it till you are ready to install.

So after much difficulty to get the pulley bolt off, I have finally torn

Some looks usable some doesn't. Next step will be to take it the
AutoSkills shop to use the parts washer and really get everything clean.

I plan to store the parts for a bit. Plan was to coat everything with oil,
wrap them in oil soaked rags, and cover with Saran Wrap. Then put the parts
in Rubbermaid bins.

Thoughts? Is there a specific oil I should use? Or am I better to finish
the overhaul and store it as a complete block?

Boiled linseed oil.  It reacts with oxygen.  It does stink, though.
