The installation is easy. If you use a shutoff valve on both inlet and outlet (Look at the Chevette valve in the NAPA book) you could isolate the heater core in the event of a leak. Also, in the event of an overheat, you can open the valves and add radiator volume to the cooling system.

Subject: [FlyRotary] heater system

Hi All,
Today in Wisconsin it was snowing--- yet.  I live about 30 miles north of Oshkosh.   I am planning to start my 13B engine for the first time in a month or two, if it warms up.  But seeing it seems to be winter here 9 months out of the year, I believe I need a heating system.  Ben Haas has suggested a Danhard under dash heater.  I wanted to just finish the plane, so I had not planned on adding a heating system.  However, this probably is the time to do this.  At least, I need to run heater lines from the engine through the fire wall.  Where do I run the heater hose from the engine and where does the return connect back on the engine?   If anyone has other recommendations for the heater core system for inside the cabin, please let me know.

Thanks for your help as I am trying to finish my Zenith 801.
