If you use a shutoff valve on both inlet and outlet (Look at the Chevette valve in the NAPA book) you could isolate the heater core in the event of a leak. Also, in the event of an overheat, you can open the valves and add radiator volume to the cooling system. I wanted to just finish the plane, so I had not planned on adding a heating system. However, this probably is the time to do this. At least, I need to run heater lines from the engine through the fire wall. Where do I run the heater hose from the engine and where does the return connect back on the engine? If anyone has other recommendations for the heater core system for inside the cabin, please let me know. Thanks for your help as I am trying to finish my Zenith 801.
