Maybe not. Since nearly all cars are now injected, the refiners have felt
free to add various injector cleaner compounds to motor fuel. There was talk in
the engine tent about this new hell. This new stuff may go through most esters
and epoxies like a knife through butter. Check with your fuel supplier about
this stuff in your proposed fuel. It is almost time for aluminum fuel tanks or
race car fuel cells.

Clearly, ethanol
was a culprit. Whether or not it is the only culprit, I cannot
say. Also, there was something about the original surface of the cured
resin that was different from the underlying cured resin. The thickness
of the residue was very small. If you are going to use the OMP (which I
do) beware of ethanol.
