We've been able to do that for decades.

As for the Corvair, all you need are some serviceable castings and the forged crank and you are good to go. Everything else is either easy to rebuild or available aftermarket. 

I'm sure the same will be true for the rotary in good time.

And like I've told concerned future Corvair builders, how many engines do you think you'll need over your lifetime?
