Lynn,
All the cover bolts, waterpunp bolts plus an extra bolt top right (from the cockpit) to a handy
machined flat on the front side housing................Remember no one revs to 9000 rpm then
drops the clutch on an airplane................Prop torque loads are more gentle and gradual than
than those seen in any race car..............again IMHO

I have a set of plans as well. I have welded up assemblies for another Dyke. The original is still flying every year. The original design was to have been all composite, probably fiberglass. The FAA would have none of it. So he changed the design to that "New" 4130 steel tubing. Just lucky he was not burned at the stake over that. Surprised he got away with the
"Other worldly" Glass skins.
Is the Mistral mount attached by more than the front cover bolts?
The engines are not very stiff in beam or torsion, and drag racers add the thick oil pan plate, over sized case bolts and extra dowels around the plug side, to reduce rotor housing flex and help carry torque into the rear iron.

That's after the Dyke Delta is up & flying right..?? I've actually got a set of original plans here for one.. I'd always wanted to adapt the design to a full composite [composite as in all fibreglass and carbon, not just the skins] airframe but thats not in the cards right here and now.. More likely a single place w/ a 20B to start w/. [Hey I fly @ 280knts TAS in the 'work' plane.. I wanna go that fast in 'my' plane too :) ]
But that is all alot longer term than these products/projects.
