That 250 RPM should be fine. Prime with a 50/50 mix of fuel and motor oil.
Oil pressure before start by cranking with the plugs out and no power to the
ignition system. Instant oil pressure on start up.
Keep one hand on the engines water outlet to confirm coolant flow. First
starts are a thrill every time. Good luck.
