Well, if I mounted them on top of the engine, I would have to re-do my intake. Besides, I think my coil bracket is a lighter solution. And there's less vibration and heat down on the motor mount. My coils are LS1 truck coils.

LS1 coils that I have.
If you have a machinist friend with not
much to do, you can have him machine a nice coil tray out of solid aluminum (see
photo). Mounts to bolt holes on top of the 20B. Has worked fine for 200
hours – haven’t had any coil failures.
