I needed to mount 6 LS1 coils for my 20B. I
took a length of 1" x 1" x 1/8" aluminum angle, a few inches
longer than three coils placed end to end. Then I cut 3 notches into each
of the two legs to allow the body of the LS1 coil to fit. Then I drilled
holes for mounting to the angle
Mark; those don’t look like the
LS1 coils that I have.
If you have a machinist friend with not
much to do, you can have him machine a nice coil tray out of solid aluminum (see
photo). Mounts to bolt holes on top of the 20B. Has worked fine for 200
hours – haven’t had any coil failures.
