Thanks for that. I might mention that I have heard of seals coming loose on several reduction drives. It might be considered a "best practices" to use a physical locking device on input/output seals that are light press fit.

Bill, the redrive is at my machinist friends shop, but it will probably be after Oshkosh before they have a chance to look at it. I had a hose going up to a small tank for a vent and no oil came out of the tank and the hose has no restriction. The output shaft seal simply came out of the gear box. I'll keep every one posted when we get the results of a complete tear down. JohnD
