Just some feedback from a piston guy.
I have been running those mufflers since the first start of my motor. My application is probably not as harsh on mufflers as the rotary but, I built a pretty stout V-8 using thermal barrier coatings on the pistons tops, combustion chambers and exhaust ports and I routinely set the EGT limit on take off at around 1700 f. My probe is in the collector and a foot or so from the muffler so it does live a rough life. They are looking damn good for coming up on 400 hours of extreme abuse.
