Ernest,
There has been discussion on other sites of making
one specifically for rotary Aviation use. The Amperage is the result of the
number of windings and size of wire and number of poles, from what was
discussed. On some stators there are poles serve a separate function but can't
remember what they did.
I was hoping to stimulate some discussion between
parties with a greater knowledge than mine, I'm afraid I'm electrically
challenged - but I'm working on trying to improve my knowledge.
From my part, and at this point in time I am just
curious.

Ernest & Kelly,
Is there any way of comparing the wire size and
number of windings. Given that the stators are the same size I'm wondering
if their made by the same manufacturer. Any idea of the manufacturer or
either/both?
George (down

They have to be the same size to fit.
I couldn't count windings on the
damaged unit I scarfed up. Why would it be helpful? Are you
thinking that it won't put out what it is rated for? Or are you looking
to build your own?
