Gentlemen, the drive pins and bushings that I
received from Marcotte were 1/4" to long and bored out for bolts, instead of
tapped for cap screws and when I assembled the couplings it would not bolt up
because the base of the drive pins held the drive and driven disc's 1/8" to far
apart and the bolts were interfering with the bell housing. So a trip to
the machinist and another $100.00 shot and removing the material in the bell
housing so the bolts and nuts have room to rotate, I hope to reinstall the
redrive again.
Can I put baby powder or silicon on the rubber
bushings to help with the assembly into the driven disc, the pins are really
snug and are going to need quite a bit of pressure to get the six of them into
place. The silicon would work the best, but would it have a negative
effect on the rubber and the operation of the coupling. Thankyou for any
input. JohnD definitely frustrated in the
country.
