If you mean high pressure air redirected to the flap area to give better
control at low speed, that was my second WAG.
Is that what's blown flaps are?

I did some internet searches and found one article which said the "Vig"
was one of the first aircraft to have "blown flaps" so it would seem
that the slot in my picture could serve that purpose...
