Hello Tracy,
I would like to continue flying my BD4 with the Ford V6 using my EC2 and the EM2 until the 20B is ready to be installed. I figure it would be one or two years before I'm ready to install the 20B. My plan is to send you the EC2 now for the snubber upgrade and than send it to you again when I'm ready to switch to the 20B.

Unless? Is there some way the EC2 is able to be programmed to work with the 20B now and still work with the Ford V6? (Please note that I have only been using the fuel injection side of the EC2 so far and a separate MSD ignition system, in case that would make a difference. I suspect that that is not possible but I thought I would ask anyway.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Robert,

All EM2s ordered or updated after we started doing the snubber update on EC2s are shipped with software that will work with all EC2s whether they have the snubber update or not.

I do highly recommend the EC2 snubber update though so definitely coordinate this with shipment of the EM2 (send Email to Laura to let her know).   Most everyone who has tried it has had very good results, especially with idle smoothness and ease of tuning.

I hear that Bruce shipped you your 20B.  I'm betting you're going to like it better than that V6 : )   BTW, I was assuming that along with the snubber update you wanted your EC2 programmed for the 20B instead of the V6.  Let me know if I got that wrong.

I just ordered an EM2 from Tracy and I'm waiting for delivery. I would like to also upgrade my EC2 with the snubber circuits. Does my EC2 need to be programmed to match the EM2 I'm getting soon and therefore should I coordinate the return of my EC2 for upgrade with the soon to be delivered EM2?
One civet of my EC2 is that it is programmed to work with a Ford V6 engine.
