The early Chrysler electronic distributor parts is what I used for years.
The amplifiers are $20.00 each. You need two ceramic resistors
($6.00 each). two pick up coils from a distributor ($4.00 each)
And a single reluctor mounted on the front pulley. A pick up coil mounted
on each side of the engine, 180 degrees apart. Each pickup coil runs one
double ended coil firing both plugs in one chamber. Timing accuracy is
astounding.

I did exactly the same thing to build a early ('74) electronic
ignition for some kawasaki race bikes! I bought the ignition modules from JC
Whitney! They were the exact same parts used on my 1972 Dodge Dart! The
two parts together were identical. Ground all the reluctor projections off
except 1 and used 2 units to fire 4 small auto coils. Two coils fired together.
The ignition ran two coils perfectly, an incredibly robust unit. I put 20,000
miles on one bike with it, it was my daily driver and ran great. If I
remember right 2 units + the reluctor and 2 pick up coils ran less than $30.00!
I could hardly believe how cheap they were. Never missed once. Sold the bike
with them The new owner loved it. Paul these might still be available.
