one to run in the near future?
Rusty (single rotor
will run again soon)
The only racing rotaries not running two MSDs are running two Mallory
Highfires. All CD systems. For wet or fouled plugs its a dream come true.
It just lights them up. Very short rise times do not allow alternate paths to
develop while a Kettering system comes up to top voltage rather slowly. They are
quiet enough for pit radios. I don't know about other airplane
electronics. The catch is that not all coils will tolerate being operated
at 400 volts instead of 12 volts. They are also pricey and not required when
running car gas.
