Thanks for the suggestion.  Since that picture was taken, I have
installed SS shields in various places not only to protect the rubber
motor mounts, but to shield the oil cooler.  In addition to an SS
shield, the rear motor mount bushing is wrapped in a Zetex blanket.  You
can bet that I'll be watching this area very closely.

Mark, you better have good heat shields on the rubber engine mounts.   They are close enough to melt from the exhaust heat. Looks good. I  just removed all my turbo parts from the engine and they weigh 39  pounds. New exhaust is being made right now. I'll be saving about  30-32 pounds of weight, and gaining one hell of a engine howl :)

Maybe that's why some of the aftermarket flanges are one piece.   That's how I made mine for that very reason.  So far, so good.
