I would really appreciate some help here. I would like to build a plane and
fly it. Low on the build and high on the fly part. I am not interested in
doing R&D or starting a business building parts.
I'm not sure if anyone sells a firewall-forward rotary kit for a Lancair. I suspect the closest you will find to that is the Powersport package, but I could be mistaken.
At this time, most of the rotary installations require at least some portion be home made. Almost all the "hard" components like the PSRU and the fuel injection electronics are readily available. Intake and exhaust systems as well as radiator mounts and plenums appear to be the parts you must fabricate yourself (or have semi-custom made.)
It seems like a naturally occurring 51% rule, in a way.
