You're right, George.  Weight of Mazda TB is 5 lbs (before you take some of the stuff off), the Mustang TB weights 10 oz.  So on the end of my long adjustable tubes, it causes less stress due to less weight.  For your needs with your heavy hauler, the weight probably is not a major concern - although I can tell you it can add up quicker than you think {:>)

The throat area of the Mazda TB is larger than the Mustang's, beside weight what is the advantage?

In some cases, I changed the way the ends of the spring were positioned, in
other cases I reversed the spring (moved it to the other side of the TB).  I
have never had to re-bend one to get it to keep the butterfly open.   Well,
it was advertised as 65mm and I recall measuring it and  confirming it.
They do make a 60 mm Mustang TB as well.
