Bill,

How much? And how far past the pulley will it extend? I don't know if I have clearance between my firewall and the pulley (Cozy pusher type plane).

Otherwise, I'm interested.

Barry in the single version the stator would mount under the pulley, on the engine side. That shouldn't increase length at all.

Second item, how much? I think that the typical units are comparable to a water pump and alternator. The unique app may be a bit pricy but several orders from the group should bring it back down. Figure on around $250-300 if the complication isn't too high. Pure specialty items would be more. If you buy a motorcycle unit the initial cost will be less, but you can run the bill up fast if you need custom machining. It would depend on weather you need a backup or primary. Van's Lists the internally regulated unit at $250, it is a 60 amp unit though.
