I also like that the mail posts are sent directly to me, and I don't have to go searching for them. (OK....call me lazy).  I can read the subject and simply hit the delete button if it is of no interest to me, or just read it, or read it and respond, or finally, save the message to my private file for safekeeping and later reference.  Works very well for me.  I have visited the Canard Aviation Forum, and I am glad it is there, because I do have a canard, and rotary engines are also discussed.  One does, however have to do some searching to find what he/she is looking for.  I'm happy that both exist.  Paul Conner

Hi John,

The Wiki isn't intended to compete with the mailing list or a forum.
It's oriented more toward collecting useful information in one place and
as such it competes more with a FAQ.  The advantage of the Wiki over the
FAQ is that anyone with an interest can update and correct it.  The
TikiWiki software I'm using includes a number of other features
including image galleries, blogs, and forums.  I haven't implemented any
of them because they  weren't related to the problem I was focusing on.
I'm not knocking your forum idea.  If the group prefers that venue, I
will certainly participate.  The one thing I  like about the mail list
is that  the posts are pushed to me.   I  don't have to go looking for
them.
