Yes, Wendell...that is the fuel strake cap. It has a chain, and is also a locking fuel cap. Anytime the fuel cap gets unlocked, the key is placed on the pilot's seat to remind me to lock the cap prior to climbing in. Otherwise, I sit on a bunch of keys with a rather large, uncomfortable key chain attached.  Paul Conner

Hey, Wendell....I found an old photo of my aluminum sump tank early on in construction. The balloons were used to check for leaks in the fuel system.  Hope this helps. Paul Conner
Thanks for the pic Paul. Good idea using the balloons for leak testing air pressure. I was wondering how much the SQ2000 differed from the Cozy. Is that the strake fuel tank cap in the pic?  If so, is it attached to a chain so that it won't come off and hit the prop?
