Re: [FlyRotary] Re: oil return banjo fitting? Dave, the oil feed for my redrive comes from the oil filter blockoff pad and drains to the bottom of the rear housing, exhaust side.

Umnn,, I think that the drain from the PSRU needs to go DOWNHILL... and the oil adapter block would be 1) uphill from the PSRU oil drain and 2) be under pressure. If you do what I THINK you are describing, I can envision an oil seal giving way.. unless I'm mistaken.  In pictures that I've seen of Bruce's engines, they drill the leg of a rotor housing and tap it, so that it drains into the pan. I am probably going to drill one of the plug side engine mount holes and place an adapter into the existing threads to have my oil return.

Just 2 cents.. from someone who hasn't been there yet but is on my way..

The more I think about it, the more I think it might be easier to make the oil return to the oil filter adapter block.  I'm pretty sure that's how it's done on the FD.  Of course then I'd have to find a plug for that oil return hole in the rear housing.

Thanks,
Rusty (let the scheming begin)

Rusty, I’m not sure you are talking about the same hole, but I’m using it for redrive oil return.
