Those nylon lines are crap. I guess if they never get stretched, never vibrate, or flex, or get hot they would be ok....but why did Mazda on the later models, protect them by sleeving them, I ask? You guess. Anyhow, I think it is prudent to replace them with something more durable. I have run into broken lines on 2 13b engines I have rebuilt after taking all the intake crap off the top of the engine-the lines are hidden, and probably never checked, they just weep oil all over the place till the engine says goodby. It needed new rotor housings and the end plates needed grinding and nitriding again.
