If an overpressure in the oil
cooler is causing the cooler to burst...
Why not limit the pressure by
adding a pressure regulator in series with the cooling system....?
I guess you mean to bypass the cooler with
some of the flow to limit pressure to the cooler? Probably not a good idea –
reduces your ability to cool the oil.
