RE: [FlyRotary] Dave's Turbo info

That is the original location on the FD of the water temp sensor (for only the dash gauge indicator, nothing else!)-sorry. There are 2 other water temp sensors on the FD-one for the engine computer and one for the electric fans located on the water pump assy neck as well. The FD is the third gen engine.

To measure oil temp I just bought a T fitting for where the oil pressure sensor is and put the oil temp in one leg of the t. Works well. Remember to ground all those sensors redundantly to the block/airframe with a ring ground wire.

e sender location

In preparation for wiring my EM2 (thanks Tracy) I'm checking that I have my sensors setup correctly.

I remember someone (I think it was Steve) discovered that they were measuring water temp when they thought they were measuring oil temp. I'm wondering if I'm doing the same. Attached is a picture of the oil temp sender. Remember this is a 3rd gen engine. Do I have it wrong?

Regards,

John Slade (turbo on its way - somewhere over the pacific)
