First question is WHY?  When Carbinge is available?  I agree it would be unfortunate to add aluminum to your carbon cowls.

I have ZERO visible attaching devices along the joining surfaces of my cowls.  NONE.

Some Advantages:
1. Better appearance
2. More secure attachment
3. Cuts down on drag
4. Much easier and quick to assemble/disassemble
5. Lower risk of dinging paint during assembly/disassembly.
6. Less weight
