I'm ready to finish the wings, flaps and ailerons with primer and will be using
PPG DP40 as well as PPG K-36 but I'm wondering what to do if anything, about
joints and low spots in particular which have been filled with epoxy and micro.
Does it make sense to give these areas a light coating of epoxy prior to applying
any finishing materials? Or, after sanding the epoxy/micro areas, should I go
directly to primer? My primary concern is for edges such as the wing/stub wing
joint as well as flap and aileron edges because the epoxy/micro does not seem to
have much strength and edges tend to chip easily.
Thanks,
Angier Ames
