I got an email from Bob Nuckolls last week informing  me that Panasonic now
makes a 20AH SLA battery that is the  same size as the 17AH battery.  I
checked in the new DigiKey catalog  today and sure enough, it's a new item
they sell.

It is $46.90 for one and it weighs 14.6 pounds vs. 14.3 for the 17AH.  By
comparison, a 33AH battery weighs 26.5# and a 42AH battery weighs 35.3#.

The part # for this 20AH battery from DigiKey is P231-ND and the Panasonic
#is LC-X1220P
The 17AH model is                                         P174-ND and the
Panasonic # is LC-RD1217P    - Cost is $41.65
